FAQ

Frequently asked questions about our foundation and what we do!

Who qualifies for the program?

Our Foundations goal is to reduce pain and increase quality of life in those who are willing to pay the ultimate price for our country and communities.

Any Veteran, Active Military Member, Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic, Law Enforcement Officer or Dispatcher who experiences chronic pain or is recovering from injury may qualify to partake in our program free of charge.

What conditions does your program treat?

Our programs include the 12-session protocol which focuses on chronic back pain and the more intensive 24-session protocol for neurological conditions. Both utilize Neuroplastic Graded Proprioceptive Stimulation (NGPS). NGPS is a specialized movement-based therapy that promotes neuroplasticity, helping to restore function and reduce pain from these conditions.

Intensive Protocol? What's the Difference?

The 24-session program is specifically tailored to increase balance and functional movement in individuals with neurological disorders such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), neuropathy, and Parkinson’s disease.

How Will This Work?

Both programs can be offered individually or in small groups of 3–5 participants. Progress is tracked using our own proprietary functional mobility scale, which measures improvements over time with or without assistive devices like rolling walkers or canes.

What exactly does the foundation provide to veterans and first responders?

The  program begins with an initial evaluation and a trained physical therapist from The Fix who deploys 12 treatment sessions over a six- to eight-week period. These sessions can be private or semiprivate, then vary to include small groups, depending on the patient’s needs. There is also a discharge assessment for ongoing treatment.

What is the “data” collected?

We  track the patient's progress, reported pain level and overall mobility using the data gathered to continue making advances to the program while providing the best treatment.

What do donations help fund?

Donations help us provide the functional physical therapy sessions, conduct research and compensate all of our amazing team members for the hard work they put in to changing lives/
